Default o-ring head

Anyone have any success o-ringing a h22 head?i have a gasket issue and i have o-ringed blocks before but never a head. Anyone have any info?

O-ringing the head is a little more work than a block.Locating the placement of the ring is the problem.The biggest reason the domestics(mostly ford 5.0l)is not having to pull and disassemble the bottom end.They use a plate that bolts to the head as a template.I don't see any performance advantage to having it in the head.

find someone with the isky o-ringing tool and you can o-ring the block in the car.

honestly I'm not looking for any advantage but more or less am lazy and don't want to pull the block if i don't have to

90mm is big on a h22, normally the biggest i've seen on a h22 is 89mm, leave some room for error man

Like I said,o-ringing the head is a bit of a project.I've used the Isky tool and it work very good.Isky will rent you the tool and sells the wire also.With a little care you could do it to an assembled engine.
