Default notching d-series

how hard is it to notch a block. I have a sleeved d16z6 and am going to be putting eagle rods and je pistons. what i want to know is how much do i have to take off for the rod to clear and is there any special way I should do it. This will be my first time doing this so no one beat me up too badly. lol

the new generation eagle rods don't require block notching, check out the rod clearence first.......off topic, what sleves you running?

p.s. i have the same setup aswell,
i notched one side already
