is this normal after disconnecting the battery?
everytime i disconnected the battery to work on something, the idling always dips to zero and near stalling and sometimes it just stall. like yesterday, i disconnected the battery to put in the power wire of the sound system, and it was like only about 10 mins then each time i have to stop, i step on the clutch the rpm dips to 0 and then come back up to about 550 rpm then slowly came back to normal idling. is honda ecu really that sensitive? or is there something wrong with my car? it's not funny anymore.
first way are you working on a started car!
second the battery only starts a car, the alt is what keeps it running (hence why most race car have no battery on board)
the alt also chareges the battery while the cars running disconnect the battery and you can destroy your alt so as in the first why are you working on a car that is started.

OBD2 Acura ECU's "learn how to idle". When you disconnect the battery, you erase the ECU's memory. It has to relearn how to idle properly-the service manual says to let the engine idle for 10-15 minutes in order for the ECU to relearn the idle.
sorry if i wasn't clear enough, i didn't work on the car nor disconnected the battery while the engine is running.
i don't know if there's something wrong with my car coz like i've posted, WHENEVER i disconnected the battery(engine OFF) for about 10mins to work on something, like recently i just connected the + wire of the stereo system to the battery then i started the car and drive around, the rpm just dips whenever i step on the clutch to make a complete stop. this is the first time i encounter such thing so i don't know if it's normal or not or maybe honda's ecu is a bit sensitive.
any ideas??

After you disconect the battery you should start the car without the stereo on, without the a/c or heat on, no headlights nothing. No power drawl off the battery. Let the car sit and idle for 15 minutes then take it out for a spin. The ECU needs to "relearn" how to idle.

Ok now that we have gotten it straight that you DID NOT have your car running when you disconnected your battery,Do you have a amplifier for your stereo and how much power is it drawing from you battery/alternator
If you are concerned about the charging system (I would be), take it to a mechanic and have him test the charging system output. I would test the battery too.
