Default No vtec, code 22.

First hits, second hits (30% of the time). Then when i shift into 3rd, it drops out and bogs at 4 grand.

Any idea's? If i reset the ecu and dont go into vtec the car is fine.

Oil good. Should remove the pressure s/w and clean it out good. Change my oil? and check the wiring? If it still dosent work, change the solenoid and spool valve. Still. Then must be the Ecu correct?

Thanks!

I had similar problems. Check the wiring. That's what was the cause of my problems. My knock sensor wasn't properly connected.

Is this a swap or is it the original engine?

b18c.

P28's dont use knock sensors?

My wiring is good, checked this morning.

I have good clean oil. And i tested my Pressure s/w from the manual, tested good. Perhaps its clogged, and i should clean the screen.

Ill hook a LED up to the ECU wire comming from pin D6, that way i can tell if its sending the signal or not.

had this problem with my b16a2. put on a new ecu and haven't had the problem. I can hook up the old one and it will run fine for a little while and then do it agian. Couldn't tell you why. I know it sucked though. started on me when I was at the track

Dent in oil pan.

Dented against pickup, low oil pressure wont let it engage.

Now i have no codes, and it still wont engage. Getting 12V to sensor at 5700, at 6.5 falls on its face.
