Default NO ELECTRICAL POWER WHATSOEVER!....

ok guys...i may be an idiot but heres my story....My car is a 1997 civic CX...NOTHING POWER...well i decided to do a battery tuck or relocation. I purchased a odyssey pc680, 4 gauge battery cable and ring terminals. My car was completely fine this morning. So I removed my old battery. I then disconnect the battery cable that runs to the starter. I also disconnected the cable that goes to the fuse box (Not the alternator) the other one that came from the positive terminal of the battery.

I then mounted my new battery. Grounded it good...then ran 2 cables from the positive terminal. One to the starter and the other to the fuse box. made sure all terminals were tight and proceeded to try to start the car.

Well, i noticed that the dome light was one, which was a good sign...i put my key in and it beeped...also good sign...then i went to start the car and nothing...I heard ONE CLICK from the starter and thats it....then i loss power completely..

I have checked the ground, i checked the 80A fuse for the battery in the fuse box and it looks fine...

What causes absolutely no electricity or power to occur???

Any feed back would be great!

You might try just running a single cable from the battery to the fuse box... then split from the fuse box to your starter.

When you turn the key, does anything come on?

ok guys check this out...i tested juice from the battery to the starter....NO PROBLEM...i have continuity. Now...i tested the cable from the battery to the fuse box (BEFORE ITS SCREWED DOWN) and it has juice from the battery. AS SOON as i screw it down into the fuse box...NOTHING!!! no juice from the battery. I have checked every single fuse in the fuse box and they all look good.

What could be causing the power to die as soon as screw down the cable into the fuse box?

This might sound kinda silly, but tdid you try putting the battery on a trickle charger for awhile? Sometimes theyre not really well charged.

And just to be sure, everything should be wired up something like this:

Nothing really. All those fuses are on the hot sides of the circuits. You have power in --> fuse --> power out to whatever circuit/device --> ground

I seem to remember the black wire from the front of the fuse box is the ground.

Just a suggestion. I ran a single wire from the battery PC680 to my starter. Then from the starter to the fusebox.
