i turn the key to the on position and it has no power, the car will crank but not stay running, it dies immediately, what could cause this and what can i do to fix it. I tried replacing the key cylinder and that did nothing, the problem still exists.

 

Did you replaced the key cylinder, or the contact part of the ignition switch? Does anything light up with the key in the run position? If not, the contact part of the ignition switch needs replacing.

 

i just fixed it...i bipassed the igniton with a relay and toggle switch and wired in a push button start

 

just get a new ignition switch..and you will be ok.
