Default no compression

I bought this civic that didnt run, it has no compression. It does have fuel and spark. I replaced the head gasket and had the head resurfaced and the compression is actually a little lower. I didnt think it could be piston rings because the compression is the same in all cylinders (40). Does anybody know what the deal is.

sounds like it has alot of bent valves...take the head off and spray a fine oil or drip water wetter into all the intake and exhaust ports and let sit for 1 min or soo, then turn the head over and look in all the combustion chambers in the head for any signs that some fluid has leaked

yeah definitely some bad valves. If they aren't bent you may be able to have them re seated and that could take care of it
