Nitrous and high compression motor
ok from what i heard from a friend of mine who builds nitrous cars, i can use my 12.5:1 compression motor with a set of nitrous cams and shot a 150 shot safely, is he crazy or is this possible my setup: minus cams
b18b golden eagle sleeved and block guard
eagle rods 12.5:1 Wiseco pistons
bored over to a 2.0L
GSR head JUN port and polish, custom valve springs
Z10 Girdle,
Oversized .5mm over Ferrera valves.
Toda cam gears, aem intake,
unorthodox crank racing pulley
MSD ignition
VAFC, msd wires, custom 1 3/4" primaries header with 3" collector
Victor X Intake manifold
RC 310CC injectors (i know ill need bigger but how big)
AEM fuel rail
SARD FPR
Chromoly ACT flywheel
ACT xtreme PP and 6 puck clutch
can i run nitrous safely, or do i need low compression
please answer only if you are sure, from trying it before, or if you know the answer, not if you think it would be ok, im seriously considering this option, and runnning 150 shot to a 240 hp allmotor car....

First of all are you running aftermarket rods??? Maybe you mentioned it but i didn't see it... If you're just running stock then don't even try it... That's the first thing that will go... The block itself will hold the power but you're getting to the point where the headgasket won't.... Did you have GE o-ring your block??? With the proper tuning what you have is possible but it will be a lot of work... I would ditch the VAFC and go with something like Hondata or Speed Pro, the VAFC just doesn't have enough parameters... If you decide to run some big cams the first thing you would need to run all motor is those injectors that you mentioned... 310's on your setup now will barely run it.. You would probably have to put ur FP up somewhere around 60-70psi and trim up the VAFC... I know this cuz my friend's 12.0:1 CRVTEC has to do the same thing... I would go with 370's if you plan to stay all motor and 440's or 500's if you plan to squeeze... That's when you need your fuel managment system to TUNE... If you really want to squeeze I would build the same motor but with 10.5-11.5:1 compression, you don't necessarily need LOW compression... In the end you'll have a motor that is a lot easier to tune without the worries of NA detonation etc.... Good Luck and let me know if you need anything else
