Default New head on engine -> timing problems i think

Ok, first time poster here. I put a "Gude" racing head. On my brothers '94 Integra(B18B1). Lets just say that its not running so well after the install. Kinda sounds like a go-cart when you rev it up. I checked the timing over and over and i still think its right on. Everything seems to line up. What could i have messed up in the process? Before i started the tear down, i put the engine at TDC (cams pointing up and away from each other, the rotor was pointing twards #1 cyl. I have no manuals for this car at all and i just want to check with you guys to see i you can offer any suggestions. Did i miss something or what? Hopefully its something easy.

The crank pulley has four marks on it, three right together and one out from them by itself. The one out by itself is TDC when lined up with the gunsight. Also at TDC on #1, the cam gear "UP" arrows will point up and the lines that are on the right of the exhaust cam and left of the intake cam will line up with each other.

Check the index mark on the cams and make sure the #1 piston
is at TDC... this is the white mark on the crankpulley... you might
have missed that step and bent valves man... hate to break it to ya

i dont think so, the mark on the crank is lined up and the cams are pointing straight up, also the little holes are lined up. I turned the engine over many times with a wrench before i fired it and there was no interference.

Could a ground wire not be grounding...

I think i only took off the one ground strap from the valve cover to the front radiator support. How would that effect the performance?
-Also, who makes a good repair manual for this car? How much do they run?
Thanks

helms is the only repair manual worth a crap. I found out the hard way getting the exhaust cam off a tooth. use that

you can't put a dist. rotor on the wrong way. it only goes on 1 way. you could install the distributor 180 degrees off, but i don't think the car would run if you did that.

double check the plug wires to the dist. for proper firing order.

Ill check the firing order again but i dont think that they moved aroun to much durring the swap. I wish you guys could hear it run. That would help im sure.
