Needing some help...
with a key question. I did a little looking prior to posting this, but didn't exactly find what I was looking for. I just bought my first Honda car, a 2007 Accord four door, and the remote on one of the keys does not work. I read that the keys have a transponder and can be expensive to replace. I saw where I could buy a new key with remote and get it cut and programed. However, by the time I do this it looked like it would be well over $100. My question is; can you get just the remote portion of the key to replace on the key I have? Just swap the guts so to speak. If this is possible, are there any suggestions as to where to get the guts? Thanks for any help.

Yeah, battery replacement was the first thing I did; didn't work.
Guess I'm gonna try to call one of these places and see if I can either get just the guts for the remote part and replace it in the key I have or order a new blank key and see if I can swap the guts. Thanks for the info and links.

They key may have become unlinked from the car. Dose the key that dosnt work start the car or dose the imobilizer light flash. If it flashes and dosnt start they key needs to programmed to the imobilizer. If not key need unlinked from the car.
Take you good key and put it in the ignition. Hold the key with the issue. Turn the key to accII hit the lock button the key that isn't working. Turn the key in the ignition to off, hit the unlock button. Repeat this process until you hear the doors lock then unlock. Should only take 5 or 6 key cycles.

Thanks TheAsian. Tried your suggestion, but reprogramming didn't solve the problem. I finally noticed that the little light on the remote was not blinking red when I pushed the buttons. Took all three keys to the local Honda dealer and the guy in parts concluded the same thing I did; remote guts crapped out. Oh well, $35 and a short time to reprogram later and all is good. All three keys start the car and both remotes work. Thanks for the suggestions folks!
