Long story short, i took my vale cover off and found this pecie i circle to be messed up. Not sure what it is call or the name. I know it hooks up to the distributor and sit on top of the cams. If you know the name or a part number or mite have one..pm a price and pic. thank you

It's called a cam cap, and they don't sell those anywhere. You'll have to pull it off of antoher head.

Sad but true. Hard to find, would call a few head porters and see if they have some spares from heads that were toast.

And you can't just throw a used one on the head. The cam bearing bores will need to be line honed if your fitting a used cap.

You would have to order the head, they dont just sell the cam cap but thank.

Good idea but i posted in one of the site i go on, to see if anyone have one laying around.

The bolt that goes to the valecover and holds it. i can still use mine but its getto and looking to put it to perfect shape again.

Due to production variances a cap from another head (the exact same casting number) will not line up perfectly with the bore of your head. Even if its just 1/2 of .001" the cam will lock up and destroy the cap and head, possibly breaking the cam. You may get extremely lucky and this won't happen but odds are that it will. Its normal practice to line hone when replacing caps.
