Default NEED TUNING ADVISE

Heres the set up
b16a
ctr pistons
port and polish
rev valve springs
ss valves
titanium retainers
stock b16 cams
b-m fuel pressure reg.
p28 chipped with scunk 2

Just wondering if any one has a similar set up and what fuel pressure your running??I dont have money for tuning right now so any tuning advise would really help.Idont want to blow up my new motor!!! Thanks

I would usually run around 50 psi of fuel pressure...you shouldnt have a problem with running lean though,as those "skunk2" programs usally run the engine pretty rich.

i really would look into at least getting a costum program for that setup
you have pretty high compression with small cams...
you'll get lots of gas with the crunk 2 chip; but timing is prolly way off

personally, i would retard the timing a few degrees, just to be safe. i just dont see how how adjusting the fuel pressure would help in this case, considering that you dont know how much fuel that skunk2 chip is dumping. raising the fuel pressure doesnt change the amount of fuel going through the injectors, only the pressure of the fuel moving through the fuel pump. correct me if im wrong.

if i were you, i would just work with the timing and drive it really really easy, until i got it tuned.

i ran the same set-up and boosted the fuel pressure to 48psi at idle and i was running a Jun chipped ecu...i detonated two pistons in a matter of a week and a half.

Does any one thinck it would be safer to run it on 100 octane .I can get it at a station by my house but its 5.49 a gallon.
