Icon2 Need some mechanic advice

I swear if it's not one thing it's another...

So Im messing around with another Honda on my way home from work on the freeway.. All the sudden my speedo starts jumping all over the place. Do some research and figure the VSS went out or something... the connectors to the VSS looked all corroded so I bought some brakleen and sprayed out the connectors. Now the speedo wont work at all not even sperattic like it was just nothing.. And after doing this I drove across the street to stop at the gas station and tried to start my car back up and it wouldnt turn over/crank at all. Battery is good and had to push it and pop the clutch to start it and get home... Ignition Module maybe... WTF..

Just so weird how it does this right after I spray the damn VSS connector plug with brake cleaner..... ughhh

So I left the plug disconnected incase its still wet or something and Im hoping for the best in the morning. Any input? Thx Honda Homies..

First of all, don't use brake cleaner on electric components - use electrical cleaner - comes in an aerosol can.

The no crank issue is more than likely not related to anything you did with the vss plug. Have you tested battery voltage? Have you tested your starter solenoid wire to confirm its getting 12v from battery when key is turned to START? Start with the basics and report what you find - we need more info to properly diagnose...

fixed the non starting issue... plug was disconnected from starter solenoid so I must have accidentally done that and didnt realize it...

So after looking at the VSS I noticed a bolt was missing that held it down to the transmission, that was probably why it was acting finicky... But now its still not working at all.. After spraying that brake cleaner in the connectors the speedo doesnt move at all... I cant see how spraying the brakleen ruined it.. It cleans and dries almost instantly... I checked all the connections dissasembled and reassembled the VSS completely and its still not working. Dont know If i ruined the VSS or just the plugs..'
Was gonna go check out a junk yard and see what I can find.. Maybe I can grab new connectors and maybe a whole new VSS altogether.. I dont know..

Pull the vss plug, get an ecu pinout and test the wires from the vss plug back to the pinout on the ecu - ull be checking for continuity. Do this first before wasting ur time/money replacing the sensor.
