need some advise on boost
I am new to honda-tech. I need some advise on boost. I was told a stock honda ecu like a p72 cant read boost past 11psi even with check valves unless you have a hondata or some other kind of piggyback or stand alone with a GM map sensor. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is true and if not what do i need to do before turning up my manual boost controller.
Yes it is true. The stock map sensor will not be able to handle past 11.3psi. The way I see it is if you're gonna run it past 10psi you should at least get hondata to help control everything the way it was meant to be controlled. Doing stuff right the first time is better then sex!
Well maybe not but you get my point.
Just for future reference, a topic like this would be best discussed in the "forced induction" forum.

Thanks for the advise! sorry about the wrong forum. But since I have already started this post I have one more questin, If I use a missing link instead of the check valves will that allow me to boost over 11psi on a stock map sensor?

No. Some people have gone over 11psi with a V-AFC and 440 injectors though, but some kind of standalone would be your best bet.
