Need a question about the B18C1 Intake manifold answered
I know that this topic has been discussed before but I have a little bet going on with a friend. He's tellin me on his B18C1 head that he zip tied the IAB solenoid together to keep it opened. From what I know the IAB Solenoid is normally open and when connected and working properly vacuum at startup will close the butterflies on startup of the engine. At around 5500 RPMs the IAB vacuum cannister will cut the vaccuum to the solenoid causing it to open up the butterflies.
So let me hear the responses: By him zip tying his IAB solenoid up is he closing the butterflies or keeping them open?
Please only people that really know the answer to this respond. There is a small wager on this.
