need new rings?
I just did a compression test on my turbo b16 which is running a 9:1 compression ratio and got
#1 150
#2 147
#3 75
#4 155
Theirs smoke coming from the breather and I poured a little oil in #3 and got 95. I think its my rings but do you think it might be my headgasket or anything else you can think of. TIA.

Well it might not be rings or anything to do with the block for that matter. Assuming you did the compression test right (ie : warmed the engine up and kept the throttle wide open) those numbers are low and do reflect leakage. Here are some possibilities:
1. Excessive revs have caused damage to your valves and thus causing leaks.
2. You have worn through your rings and they are excepting blow-by.
3. You have blown your headgasket.
Either way you are going to have to pull the head. The first thing I would do is a leak down on the head and check the headgasket. Make sure that the valves are leaking in the third or at least headgasket damage around the third else it is for sure your rings. Hope this helps. -HIT
