need modifing tips
i have a 93 civic ex at the moment all i have is a cai...wanting to do boost but not sure if i should go for it..my friends are saying not to because my engine wont last as long. this car is my daily driving car to school...so im dunno if i really wanna do it not sure if my engine could take that. i really want some big hp soon. but want to do it with out blowing my engine please i need help on the modification.
Then I would consider getting a JRSC. It's not as much boost as a Tubo, but ideal for the streets. Just my opinion. That way you could keep your CAI too.
Supercharging is the wrong way to make big HP. Think about it. A supercharger blows hot un-intercooled air into the motor. The only way this will not blow up the motor is if you stick to low boost. No big hp there.
With a turbo set up you have colder air ( intercooled ) plus more effecient set up. That right there makes more horsepower and is kinder to the motor. No doubt there is more involved with turbo, but something like the Greddy kit will be just as easy and just as mantince free as a Jackson Racing supercharger. Research your options.
