Default JR supercharger question

I'm considering installing a Jackson Racing supercharger. But I'm concerned that the added heat will take away from the life of my engine. Can someone give me some guidance/experience with the JR supercharger? Have you noticed an increase in engine operating temperature?

go ahead and slap it on. Your motor will be fine, especially if you keep stock boost. I had it on my gsr for 50k miles @6 psi with absolutely no problems. As matter of fact, that same charger is now on my civic. You will enjoy it. I will warn you.. boost gets very addicting. Most people can muster a high 13 low 14 with stock boost. My personal best was a 13.7.

I appreciate the info. I want to keep the car streetable and dependable. I know turbo has much more potential for making hp, but my civic is a daily driver. It's got to get me to work and back. A little fun won't hurt. My wife always asks me why I want my car to go so fast when the speed limit is 55mph. I tell her that's true, but I'll get to 55 a lot faster than most.
