NEED IDEAS NO POWER !!!
So I have a 1992 si was out running round town no problems last night came out this morning and I have no power ?
What I mean when say no power
-no hazard lights, no dash lights, no radio, no external, or internal power, ect.
What I've trouble shot already
- battery good
- fuses in bay box good (checked 80 main like 100 times)
- fuses in driver side panel good
- grounds in engine bay good
- test light shows power every where I checked
Symptoms (again)
- no lights turn on (at all)
- no electronics turn on
- no sounds of any kind
- turn key from off to on position nothing happens
- everything is getting power (from what I can tell just dont turn on)
- frustration ;(
Everything worked fine when parked night before

Well the hazard lights should have power at all times.. Did you take out the main fuse and ohm it? Ive had one fuse appear to be good but wasnt.. If the hazard lights work then i would suspect the ignition switch.. Did you check all battery and ground connections? Ohm the main fuse and report back..
Ran out of time hopefully will be able to ohm it first thing in the morning but test light did show power cross the board just don't know how much. I was thinking bad ignition myself but I couldn't explain the hazed lights with that. And the ignition receives current in off position and sends current when switched on but nothing happens hopfully should be able to report what I find out 2m I'm hoping its a simple fix but I'm usually not that lucky :/
Using an ohm meter to test a fuse is not the correct way, [meter has very little resistance] the correct way is to use a 12V test light, [not LED type] and test the fuse in it's socket and test both test tips, [ends of the fuse].
Anytime more then one circuit is effected it is almost always caused by a grounding issue so start by redoing the main grounds, DO NOT just eyeball them, disconnect/clean/reconnect the batt. post and cable clamp, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine grounds.. 94

Got it working !!! Had some time today and ran through everything again did test light ohm readings pulled checked fuses and fuse slots again and still nothing so just got frustrated and went through pulled everything apart sanded down all ground points and ground ends replace fuses that had any kind of marking cleand dust out off everywhere I could and put it all back together nice and tight and she fired rite up
don't know exactly what did it but 1 of those did that's my luck for a year but I'm just glad to be mobile again and yeah I would never just eyeball it if your going to do something do it right and to the best of your ability to many slackers these days
I appreciate the comments and ideas
