I have a d16y8 swap into a obd1 dx. Im using a p28 ecu. The car starts but runs like crap. The CEL code its giving is 10. How do i fix this code on this swap. Any help will be great.

code 10 - IAT sensor

 

Do you have the IAT wired up? I highly doubt it cause your using an OBD2 motor with the IAT sensor that mounts in the intake arm; versus the OBD1 style harness that mounths the IAT in the intake manifold.

So do i need to hook the obd1 IAT up some how?

 

hook it up and let it hang there to get rid of your CEL for the moment. But the correct way to fix it would be to get the obd2 sensor and plug; which i have available if you need one.

 

ok i hooked it up and now that codes gone but i have codes 19, and 22 and the car is running like **** and sounds like ****. When i go to give it gas it kinda stalls out. I dont know if the timing is off or what. Any ideas?

19- auto tanny lock up
22- V-tec
