1995 honda civic dx. Vehicle was stolen and then recoved (ignition switch was ok, just taken off the column, which I used tie wraps to reattach to column). After it was recovered, every few days when I go to start the car, when i crank the ignition to iii all i hear is a click coming from somewhere under the dash (does not sound like the starter). If i disconnect the negative from the battery and then reconnect, the car starts fine again for a few days until it does the same click, then I have to repeat taking off the negative from the battery....Can anyone guide me towards the right direction?

bad negative ground cable? check for voltage drop.
