Default Need help on School Questions

Hi I need help for the following questions of my high school auto course.

1. a "flooded" automobile engine results when too much gasoline is pumped into it
a) describe the appearance of the exhaust gas once you finally manage to start a "flooded engine.
b) what type of combustion does this represent

2. A carburetor is a device attached to an automobile engine in which gasoline and air are mixed prior to being burned. A lean fuel/air mixture contains less than a fuel/air mixture. which type of mixture would result in the cleanest automobile exhaust? why?

a. the exh. will be really black cause your buring a ton of gas that was floded into the engine
b. an overly rich mixture/combustion

this is easy. if there is less gas being put into the engine, then there will be less coming out. A lean burn engine would make the cleanest exh.

next time, use the web, like google.
