Default Restore Engine treatment

Ok, I've got to wait a few more months before I can swap motors on my EF. Its burning about a quart every 500 miles. Seems to be running strong, but its on its way out. Have any of you guys used that Restore treatment to minimize the smoking and oil burning? Seems like its worth a shot...just to keep this thing running until I can get a decent motor in there.

Try running 20w50 oil if you are not already. Also some of the stop smoke stuff, it should be really thick, works too (just thickens oil more). My old motor would leave a smokescreen behind me if I tried to run straight 10w30 but the thicker oil bought some time.

Some people say thicker oil in combination with CD2 alemite junk, found at most auto stores, is a pretty good temp fix for burning oil.

I have used the Restore in my girls old civic. Clooged up the oil system and with no pressure blew nice golf ball sized hole from behind the headers.
