NEED HELP I have a electrical problem??
I just replaced my Original 1989 Civic Si D16A6 engine with a JDM 1998 Civic EX D16A engine with only 35k
only using block, head and alternator from JDM D16A
using original ECU , intake manifold with fairly new sensors and injectors, have a new D16A6 distributor and starter
the alternator from the JDM D16A has 75 amps that I am using
the original D16A6 alternator has 60 amps
would the 15 extra amps stop the engine from running properly or cause an ignition problem?
like non stop relay clicking under driver side of dash and ECU non stop flashing when trying to start
If not any ideas on what is causing the relay clicking and ECU flashing at starting attempts

not at all.
an alternator is a pump, the amp rating is a max flow rating not a standard flow rating. The alternator produces as much as it needs to to keep the voltage where it should be.
Going less amps and loading it down badly or changing the voltage is what can harm things.
