Default Need Help....H22 questions

I just finished the rebuild of my h22. I got it started tonight finally. Once started we set the idle at 2500 b/c i put the stage 2 crowers in and they said to not let idle under 2000 for 30 minutes or so. After about 15 minutes the exhaust manifold was glowing from the heat. I have never before seen this happen on a honda and was wondering what could be happening or causing this and if this has happened to antone else. The car is full of coolant.

yeah i thought that too so i upped the fuel pressure from 40 to 44 but then it still seemed to do it. Just wondering what type of fuel pressure most people run? I have AEM fuel rail and bigger injectors w/AEM CAI and then the motor has supertech valves, valve springs and retainers and then the crower stage 2 cams? Also what rpm should this be able to handle?
