Default need help fuel presure gauge reading high

i got a 2000 civic si coupe wth basic bolt on's,header.intake,exhaust...but today i installed a AEM fuel rail and a b&m gauge (did not upgrade the fuel pressure regulator yet)for some odd reason i started up the car and the gauge read 80psi is this bad and is this why car smokes (black/grey color) and smells like gas? so after i was trippin out so i thought my gauge was broken so i bought a new one and it still read 80psi, so then after i thought my injectors were bad so i installed an extra set that i had and still yet it read 80psi ,so after that im still trippin out even more so what i did next was change the stock regulator to another stock regulator and still read 80psi...need your guys help in fixing this problem thanks.........

injectors have nothing to do with fuel press. omly pump and regulator, the regulator should only be like 41-47 psi without vacuum with vacuum about 32-38, so there is no reason it is at 80 unless the regulator is after market and not set right or the regulator is bad and usally when there bad and ive never seen a bad honda reg., they dont have enough pressure to start the car.

Check your return lines back to the tank. Sounds like the fuel thats supposed to go back thru to the tank is getting dumped into the motor. And whatever happens, expect to either remove or replace your converter, cause you just poisoned it.

buy a new liquid filled gauge, mount it on the rail if its not already there and then post the difference, those gauges are CRAP!!
