Default Need help with engine burning oil and antifreeze

Trying to help a buddy out. Had block bored .20 over, decked, head surfaced. He put eagle rods and ross pistons in buy himself. Now the problem, When he starts the car, it uses alot of antifreze and it burns some oil too( meaning through the exhaust pipe). He has already gone through 5 headgaskets and still has not solve this problem. There is oil in the radiator so I think it is the headgasket but he has already been through a few. You guys think this could have been some kind of machine work error?

Another thing also is with the ross piston, is their a piston ring that you do not need to use?

Don't know the answer to your problem, but on the piston rings, I'm pretty sure they don't add in extras, otherwise you would've had 3 extras instead of 1.

Sounds like a warped head or incorrect torque specs on the bolts.

With the Ross pistons, there isn't an "extra" ring that you can or cant use. Even if it was the rings, the loss of coolant is weird. These are OEM head-gaskets, yes?
