ok here's the deal. i have a 91 crx dx, with a d16z6. i'm using a 89 si ecu and a si distributor. when i accelerate it kinda feels like it hesitates, but at wot it is just fine. and sometimes from an idle when i give it gas, it sputters a little. my timing is right on. new plugs and wires. new ignition module. any clues as to what this could be?

any help would be great.

 

check ur map sensor - on top of the throttle body, if its not getting a good tight vacuum , ull get rough idles and hesitated accleration...........its the 1st place i would check, and its right there on top so it should be quick to tell....

 

You could try a test run with the O2 sensor unplugged and see what it does. This may of course set a code you'll have to clear. Do this test with the engine already up to operating temperature.
