Will an OBD-2 LS B18 AUTOMATIC throttle body work properly on my manual d16y8?


I have searched but cannot find the answer. Can I just remove and block off the FITV? Please help!!


This would mate to an Edelbrock Performer X IM.

No it will not work on a factory manifold. Don't know about Edelbrock IM. the bolt pattern is different. Make sure you have the proper gasket or you could get a manifold air leak

 

B-series and D-series TB have the same bolt pattern.

OP: should bolt up, gasket selection will be important. you may just want to buy one for each and see which works.

 

Thanks guys. I know it bolts up and I read to use the Gasket that matches the TB.

Here are some pics. I don't want to waste $$ on a gasket if this does not work out. Can anyone confirm this will work?

Yes you can block it off or running the cooling liines the same way.
