Hey what's goin on guys ... I'm fairly familiar with Hondas this being my 3rd one already ( 97 dx ) and it's the stock motor d16y5 .. I bought the car with the catalytic already removed and a little bit of smoke coming off, Ofcourse the seller tried telling me some ish about how oh it's because it's running lean and the catalytic is gone and whatever .. so I change the headgasket and the car stopped smoking 🙄 I got the timing fairly right; timing belt and the cylinders and had my buddy do the distributor .. well anyways now to the problem, the car bogs now when I press on the gas hard. I can rev all the way to redline just slowly pushing on the gas though. But god forbid I step on it and it bogs right. Im not sure what it is, I heard it couldd be the throttle body cable being tight. To the sparkplugs wires being **** or their off. Has someone had this problem or can relate to how they might of fixed it ?
