Need help ASAP!!!
I bought a 93' civic coupe...came w/ a d15 sohc vtec motor..auto transmission..when i bought it they told me the starter went bad and that the flywheel also went bad. When I turn the ignition there is no noise and the car wont start. I was told by someone else that the car doesn't turn on from the starter but from the converter instead..I would like to know any tips please ASAP!!thank you

you took apart the flywheel?! you would have to pull the tranny to do that, and you have an auto tranny, so you don't even have a flywheel. just to be clear, did you take the starter off?
To go back to your original question, does the engine turn over when you try to crank it, or is it conpletely dead? Do you have good battery power? If you have good battery power, replace your starter and you should be good to go as long as the teeth on the flexplate are not worn too much.
Could be as simple as a bad A/T gear position switch or connections to it.
Have you tried starting in neutral?
Start by doing a bypass jump, unplug the starter lead from the starter motor, make sure car is in park or neutral, using a jumper lead with one end connected to the batt. pos.(+) post touch the other end to the starter lead terminal on the starter.
If engine cranks access A/T gear position switch, unplug it and use a jumper to connect the black/red and black/white leads in plug together, if engine cranks replace A/T gear position switch. 94

i checked the starter and there was a wire that was loose and so i fixed it and it doesnt crank to start the engine...so i check i saw that the flexplate teeth some are worn out
if it was a bad starter, youd hear it click. try put power to starter to see if it turns, normally
bad A/T switch
blown fuse
bad starter signal wire
so you working on the car yourself ? if so, marry me
