Default need help

OK, my car is lagging really bad when I accelerate normally. I don't even try to bash it cuz the motor is old so I dunno how it drives at high rpms. I've read about how timing belts can skip teeths... is there a way to fix that without taking apart the whole thing again?? I really don't wanna do that. I also have oil leaking down on the head gasket, which I need to torque down more tonight. But yeah, my car bogs and accelerates really slow. Car seems to idle fine <--- (opinion from sound of engine). If anyone can offer some help, I'd appreciate it, thanks. Ohh it's a 93 D15b7 motor. & yes, i've already searched.
