need a lil help
i have a d16z6 motor, im having an issue with the idle, it was idling high for awhile and the rpm would bounce a lil bit, going up and down, then the head gasket pretty much went out and was leaking oil and then it over heated so i took it apart put a new head gasket on some new hoses that blew when it over headed and now its all straight but now instead of idling high it wants to die on me but it wont and it will jump up and then go back down again,
when i drive the car its smooth no problems at all but when i stop and just idle its good right at first but after 2 seconds it drops down and then acts like its going to die so i give it just a lil gas to keep the rpms where it should be and it runs fine but when i let off, 2 seconds later it wants to die again so idk if its a sensor going outa wack or a vaccum leak or it all just needs to be cleaned or what, i had a guy tell me yesturday that its my mass air sensor and b/c i rebuilt my motor and changed the compression and the intake and stuff i have on it, its not going to read right but this guys is a v8 guy that deals with only big block chevys so idk if i should take his workd on it or wat but id like to get this fixed as soon as possible
any ideas would be great

I'm having a tough time understanding your post but I can say that your D16Z6 does not have a Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) it has a Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor (MAP).
Any chance the TPS and the MAP connectors are switched around? Just off the top of my head...
