Default N20 and high compression

would N2O work w/ 11.1.1 compression ratio? i know i could hook up the bottle and spray, but would it like hmm, you know how with boost, you dont want too high of compression becuase you run a higher risk of detionation. does this apply to nitrous too? i was watching HorsePower tv on tnn this week end and a car they featured had 15.1 compression and running nitrous. or would it take butt loads of tuning to get it to run safely? if i rember Nitrous cools down the cyl. temps, so wouldnt this sway detionaton a little? thanks

It is a little simpler to run nitrous with high compression than turbo because you aren't packing air in there, you can control your air flow precisely with your nitrous jet, but it will still require dead nuts tuning and retarding of your timing. Get your tuning down and dont worry about it, but just remember, better to be rich than lean.
