Default n00b replacing a battery

i read that i had to use a 'CORROSION REMOVAL SPRAY' to get rid of the rust before i unplug ****.. so i was just wondering if i could use WD40? or would that blow something up? lol yeah sorry dumb question

wd40 is a degreaser, are you removing grease?
goto your local auto parts store, and buy something that removes corrosion, is it that hard?

Baking soda or baking powder mixed with water till it's pastey will get rid of corrosion also. Or at kmart they make battery post and clamp cleaners just like a little metal toilet brush thing.

Eh, it may work, but I imagine it wouldn't work as fast or as good.
