n00b question about engines Need help asap
a long block consists of the head and the block. some distributors will include the exhaust and intake manifolds, alternator, distributor etc even though they can charge you extra for each part . you will also need a transmission, axles, intermediate shaft, rear mount bracket ecu and maybe after market mounts depending on the type of car you have
search around and you;ll find out more

longblock would be considered the head and block with everything inside.
if bought new from honda you would get:
head, headgasket, no valvecover
cams, cogs, valvetrain, no manifolds
water pump, no waterpump housing or waterpipe
no belts, no hoses
block
oil pan/gasket
no sensors
no distributor
if you get it from somone else, I wouldnt count on manifolds
but everything from the valvecover to the oilpan. when I sold
my old GSR longblock I reused my waterpipe, sensors and
valvecover, distributor so it sold as is.
