is my VTEC working?
I just bought a 89 hatch w/ a b17 swap in it, the car uses a obd0 ecu modded to run the obd1 motor.
The guy who sold it to me had a tach mounted, but it was stolen and the wires were cut. He said it was hooked up so that you could adjust VTEC engagement w/ the tach, and now after the wires are cut, VTEC doesnt work anymore.
There are 4 wires that went to the tach, one is a ground I believe, one went to the fuse box, one went to the little round thing on the vtec solenoid, and last one was tapped into a distributor wire.
So whats going on? I am pretty bad at wiring, what should I do to restore vtec on my car?

yeah, i dont know what the guy's talking about, but thats what he said.
okay, to simplify the question, I have removed all the wires except the one attached to the small cylinder on the vtec solenoid, is that supposed to be there? what do I do w/ it?
so confused!!!
