My Key Is Stuck
i swapped my automatic engine out into a manual engine...i cant seem to get the key out of the ignition because it doesnt turn all the way back to the main position and hoping someone maybe has an answer for me...and the bad thing is the engine doesnt even want to crank...so ill buy a new starter and see if it starts unless there is something else causing it not to start...any reponse is appreciated...thanks
Dude, your automatic shift solenoid wasn't put in the PARK postion. Think about it, when you had your automatic, you couldn't take out your key unless it was in PARK. Same deal here.
Take the little slider thing that moves the solenoid and put it in park. Glue it or something. That should work. It'll take a couple of tries to get it in the exact right spot. It's not simply at the top.
As for it not turning over.....I dunno dude.

The best way to take care of the ignition solenoid is to jumper wire the wiring which goes to the selector connection - just use the Helms manual for your car to find out which sockets to jumper to make the "park" circuit...then you can put the key in and be able to take it out.
As far as the car not attempting to start that is defiantly electrical, so you don't have to worry about checking the main relay/fuel system relay. Check battery and wiring connections is all i Can think of.
I just noticed something, you said "i swapped my automatic engine out into a manual engine..." - I've been talking about an auto transmission to 5-speed transmission swap. The engines are the same for both automatic and manual transmission, except for the intake manifolds and EGR system (on G2 integra's). If you actually are talking about an automatic engine going into a manual transmission vehicle I have no idea - especially since a manual car doesn't have the selector solenoid lock.

There is a switch in the automatic shifter under the console that you will have to play with. When i did an auto to manual swap in my friends hatch i bypassed it by tricking it into always thinking that it is in the park postition. That's all you have to do. If you don't want to rewire it then just place the switch in park but it's a lot easier if you just cross the two wires and cut the switch out.

it will fix the problem with the key not turning back he may of used some one else fix by glue the ing. and that why it wont start but for the key not turnning off you need to remove the box under the seat
