Default My ITR suddenly pulls HARD to the left !!!

When driving my ITR after 20 miles it sudenly puls hard to the left and I feel something in my steering wheel . I replaced the drive shaft , I checked the break calipers , and the wheel alignment , everything is perfect.
Could it be the left wheel bearing that shows a lot of resistance when it starts getting hot . Any one had this problem ?

Thanks for the help.

Douglas

Do the left side brakes start dragging when they get hot?

i would guess that it is the wheel bearing. since it does it like 20 minutes into driving, that means they are warm by then. that, or check yur p.s. system,

Hi ,

Nothings wrong with the brakes , because I stoped and checked the wheel , it wasn't hot and spinned freel. Also when it is pulling hard to the left , I applied the brakes and the car keeps pulling to the left. And I have a very good brake systen 300 x 23 mm discs and 4-pot calipers , the car doesnt have a brake problem. I think it could be the wheelbearing ?

drive it until problem starts then feel the wheel near the hub to see if one is hotter than the others. that could mean either a hung-up caliper or a bad wheel bearing. also check the rear also. I have had calipers hang up on my Civic. It happened after I drove in the rain all day then let the car sit for 2 of so days. It just rusted a little and that did it. also look to see if the rotor sufaces are worn and the same color. A discolored blue usually indicates excessive heat due to more than usual resistance.
On another thought, maybe you messed up the Limited Slip Differantial??? Although you said it is always there, right?, dont matter accel, decel, cruising??

It hapened on the straight line , so I don't think It could be the LSD ? Nothing is wrong with the brakes , but what could go wrong with the LSD on the straight ?
Thanks for the help

Honestly, I have no idea what could go wrong w/ the lsd i was just throwing the idea out there. check to see if you can spin both wheels when car is on jackstands?
How many miles on the car?
other places to check:
steering rack/fluid
upper ball joints

did you check rear on both sides? Check the outer cv cup where it goes through the hub, see if it is hot if it is it is wheel bearing.

also if you are checking alignment/ball joint play with the car on jackstand, the suspension needs to be compressed like the car was on the ground.

If all else fails, check the struts to see if they are leaking. If you've tried everything else, that could be one of the last things to check I guess, I know my other car (2001 civic) has blown struts on the front, and it REALLY pulls to the left. it understeers hard core too when I am turning even at slow speeds.

Hi,

Its the LSD that broke during my spin on the track. If your spinning at high speed , the LSD gets twisted so hard taht it brakes internaly. **** a new drive shaft , new LSD .
I'll spend a lot of $$$$ again , **** **** **** . I'll try to stay on the track next time!!!!

Did you brake your OEM type R LSD? i've never heard of one breaking. So when a Limited Slip brakes, does it turn back into a Open slip like my LS Tranny has! welcome back to the world of torque steer!
