Default Locked up my brakes and now i feel vibration from my wheel.

so i slammed on my brakes to avoid an accident and now im hearing a vibrating/pulsating noise coming from my driver side wheel. does anybody have a clue? are there commonly associated problems that come from locking up the brakes? i was thinking it was just a flat spot on my tire but judging from the frequency of the pulsating i dont think thats it. its noticable when driving around the city but when i hop on the freeway my steering wheel starts to shake ALOT at around 70mph.

can anyone help?

might want to pull the wheel off and inspect the brake pad thickness and feel the rotors for any scaring or cracks on the rotors or warped rotors as well.... also might help to jack the car up so the wheel is off the ground and give it a spin to see if the brake pads are draging or not. your caliper slides might be slightly stuck from some rust making them drag.

Might want to check for a bad wheel bearing.
You might have warped your brake rotor, but seeing as though you say that it vibrates when you driving and not braking makes me want to lean more towards a bad wheel bearing or your tires in need of balancing.

odds are its just a flat spot on the tire. not only does it cause vibrations for the obvious reason, but now its out of balance as well. if more than one wheel locked up (odds are thats the case), the frequency will change as the flat spots change thier rhythm with eachother (because of turning differential).

Ill try all these tomorrow. But here's the thing I just changed my brakes and rotors not even a week ago. So my whole brake set up is fresh. Could my rotors have gotten warped in that one instance?

Flat spot on the tire off balance- will a balance job fix it? I'm planning on buying a new set of tires as soon as my new lug nuts get here since my tires are already eaten up on the inside anyway. When I get my new tires mounted and balanced and the problem is still there what does that narrow it down too?

Gaurantee new tires will fix it. You flat spotted them. Bet the vibration is less intense the faster you go right?
