Is my ignition coil ok? - odd behavior
I'm having a problem where my car suddenly wouldn't start one day. I do have spark, but was told that was the spark plug wire is grounded, it should produce a blue spark. Mine is kind of orangish. Anyway, rotor, cap, wires, plugs are all only 10k miles old.
Here's the problem. I pulled the coil to check resistance. The secondary winding resistance is within spec, but the primary winding resistance reads zero or 0.1 (spec is .64-.78 ohm). I found this wierd, considering I am getting spark.
Any ideas?

I recently had to do some ignition system repairs, and I too read that the spark should be blue, but mine (when I finally fixed everything and had spark once again) was also orangeish, so I wouldn't worry about that.
Sorry, I can't help you given your symptoms. I totally lost spark after I fried my coil and ICM doing a simple compression test.
