I am running a stock ITR clutch and it started chattering on take-off today. It also started grinding going into gear. What a pain. I can't complain too much because I got 25,000 + hard (9,500 rpm) miles out of a stock clutch. Well, I know what I am doing tomorrow after work.

 

Damn, only 25k on a clutch? Shoulda lasted longer than that.......

 

Join the club. My clutch cable took a **** about a week ago. I can barely get it into gear.

 

Here is a picture of the disc-the piece laying on the friction surface is what broke.Typical of factory clutches that have been abused

My clutch went out on my rex recently too. one of the 4 springs in my clutch disc popped out n got stuck between the disc and the pressure plate. 2 of the other ones were about to pop out too. Man it was a bitch changing the clutch, my brother and I did it with nothing but some old tools and a chilton manual, which we didnt even use

yep exact same metal piece broke off on my stock clutch
