motor swap question
i'm new to the import scene and just picked up an 85 crx si with a broken cam. since i couldn't get any info on the motor before i got it i was just gonna do a rebuildon the motor. a friend told me an 87 integra dohc is a direct bolt in for my sohc,,,,,,,, is it true? if it is a direct bolt in replacement what can i expect for "surprises"? exhaust problems? harness problem/mods? clearance problems? transmission problems?
if the 87 integra motor isn't a direct bolt in are there any later model motors that are?
i would liek to keep THIS project fairly inexpensive but might not have a choice. any way any help on this will be appreciated.

The 86-89 Integra motor will bolt in, however, your 85 crx is carbuerated and all the integras were fuel injected, so it would require some extensive work to convert your car to fuel injected. you're better off fixing the engine thats in it and maybe putting a better carb on it like a set of mikuni side drafts.
thanks on cofirming that the integra motor is a bolt in but my crx is an si so it is injected. do you know if there are any other problems that will pop up?
