The B17 and B16 are the same so adding the PR3 pistons will fit. as for the GSR head it will fit aswell and raise comprestion. not sure how high but it wont be anything you cant run on pump fuel.

ok so yeah the blocks are the same size in the casting process. but they have different size rods and stroke so with the longer b17a stroke and b16a pistons it will raise your compression ratio. also b17a head flows better than a gsr head so keep the b17a head fyi b17a and b16a HEADS ARE THE SAME THING

will it raise it that much cause i was looking at that compression calculator and it said with a 2 layer gasket the compression would be like 10.95 also i will be running the motor with 00 ITR Cams

Can someone found out what his EXACT Compressin ratio will be...bc as long as he's under 12.5:1 he can run on pump gas in FL (93) bc he's tuning Hondata

With B17 block, PR3 pistons, GSR head, his CR will be 10.77:1.

I would think that it'd be in the 10.6 area w/ a B16A head.
If you're running ITR cams, you still have a lot of clearance.
I'd use a B16 head and mill it 20 or 30 thou.
That'll put you in the mid 11s, compression-wise.

good setup! (if you go through with it)
You'll be at approx. 10.7 cr with that head/piston/stroke combo. Should be nice! Run a Skunk2 manifold for the GSR head too and you might want to look into a thinner headgasket just for some added compression....won't be much more but it doesn't hurt

that depends on you. B16A & B17A heads are exactly the same, if you didn't know. You'll have higher compression with a GSR/P72 head tho.

How Involved is the Hybrid w/ B17a 's Crank into the B20B (Jdm vtec b20?)???
It would seem that this setup would give ample Torque, midrange, and high rpm power due to its rod ratio. A b20 peaks lower than an ITR or CTR. So by destroking it, one can have the best of both worlds. Has anyone out there done this w/ the Jdm vtec b20 block before...How dificult? If it is a pain in the kiester and tons of $$$ I will just bore my b17a or swap for a b18c1 if someone will trade me?
