Default motor heads look here

ok i have a few questions about some internal work

1. if i buy new pistons and rods aka je pistons and eagle rods will i need my whole setup balanced?

2. what are the retainers on s2000's made of?

3. if b series valvesprings and k20a valvesprings are the same are they similar to the s2000 ones?

i already have the skunk 2 setup but would just like to know for whatever reason. thanks guys.

as for the pistons and rods and being balanced question, i didnt (i had turbo B18C1 w/ JEs & eagles) and never had any problems (besides the big wall that jumped out in front of me) , but its another thing you can do to get maximum power and reliability. im not a valve spring guru, so ill leave those open

If you buy aftermarket rods and pistons they're already gonna be within +/- 1 gram or so of each other. When rebuilding a 4cylinder engine while installing an aftermarket rods&pistons the main thing you need to have balanced that's not already done is your crankshaft. It's not that much more to have done since you already have the engine disassembled.
