so i have a b18c1 with a skunk 2 manifold and thats about it on the motor. it was running fine for awhile. i had it open header because my test pipe fell off (yeah kinda ghetto).. but as soon as i put the test pipe back on.. my vtec was magically gone.. i have no idea what happened. disconnected the wire and tried driving it around to see if i was just imagining it but it runs the same as when its connected. so i guess im just trying to see if anyone else with a similar setup has ever had this problem. do you think it could be the solonoid thats out? or maybe faulty wiring? some ideas/comments would be good. thanks.

How long since your last oil change.. Could be low.

changed my oil maybe a week before having my vtec problem.. i checked oil levels and it was fine.. so i dont think its that..

 

do you have a check engine light on? many of the things that will set them off will make it not kick in
