Default misshift

Okay.... first of all it wasnt me driving. Rather my retarded friend. He basically pulled the infamous "3rd to 2nd" misshift in my s2000. and 3rd was at redline. 2002 s2000
I immediately had him pull over and now my car idles bad, and the engine seems to have gotten louder. The car drives fine after 3k rpms but it does hesitate below that. HEres where my confusion lies.....

Given past experiences, i know that my valves might be out of whack. Its at the honda dealership right now, the mechanic looking at the my car ran the codes and said that the only code it was throwing was a missfire code. The car had a recall for spark plugs that i never knew about. He looked at my plugs and said that they look pretty bad. They are putting them in and i should know more in depth tommorow.

Question1: If the misshift was really severe, then at least one of my spark plugs should be broken correct?

Question2: Ive heard many stories about misshifting s2000's and usually nothing bad happens, is this true?

Question3: What else should i look for.? i already asked him to do a leakdown and compression test.

Question4: if my valves are bent and such, how much am i looking to pay?

THanks a lot

st. cloud....kool. im in orlando.

on the subject, i dont know much about s2k but i would think you might have spun a rod bearing. when shifting like, bearing are first to go, along with valve.

Know what will make your day miserable, a few cracked valve guides. It's pricey to replace them and hard to find someone that will do it.

good luck but those s2 do not like over reving. your car more than likely bent a valve or 2. very pricey hope you still have a warranty
