misfire help
well ive checked every thing that ive seen to check after going thru forums.
i double checked my timing and it seemed to be good. well i went off the oil pump mark and cams are lined up. after tightening the timing belt and every thing back together its still misfiring and has a popping noise coming out of the exhaust. looking every thing over i noticed tdc on the crank pulley isn't lined up but the cams are. is tdc on the crank pulley suppose to be lined up ?

This does not directly answer your question but I had similiar issue this week. My misfire starting a while ago and got worse. Could hear popping in the exhaust almost like something was hitting it from under car. Then I got a CEL. My tps was failing. Swapping it today. May be worth a shot to pull out a multimeter to check. Wont take but ten minutes.
