Hi, I just come to complete my minime and I have some problems....
Here's my spec...

D16Y7 1997 Engine
D16Y8 1998 Head
P2P 1998 ECU
D16Y8 1999 Intake manifold complete with throttle body, IACV, MAP etc...
D16Y7 1997 stock harness
D16Y8 unknow year Knock sensor

All wires for knock sensor, solenoid, pressure switch as ben passed and checked 2-3 time with voltmeter to be sure they are ok. The VPS ground is good and attached to the body at the same place where the battery is. The IACV 2 wires is also fixed.

My problem appear when the VTEC goes on at 5500 rpm approx... the air/fuel gauge come very very lean and we lost power

I have check the solenoid with the manuel shop and he doing is job.
I have check the vtec pressure switch with multimeter and when the vtec goes on, the ecu receive the signal from him.

I don't have any more idea... where's the problem ?
Does a 99 map sensor could be different from a 96-98 one and give a bad signal to the ecu ?

By the way I don't have any cel's exept one 91 some times but this is not the reason why the vtec don't do is job...

Strange.. What air/fuel are you using, a wideband or narrowband..

 

I have an Autometer gauge narrowband I beleive... I know it's not the best think, but if I look my spark plug, The gauge seem to tell the thrut
