Alright here's the problem I had recently put together my motor once again and shortly after my #1 cylinder was leaking oil like crazy. oil was even coming out of my manifold. The question is... What would cause the bottom oil ring to melt? I pulled the piston ring out yesterday and the oil ring was melted. It is a b18a fully built with wiseco piston and wiseco rings. all of the other pistons seem to be fine. I have a feeling I may have broken the ring when I installed it. but i couldn't understand why it would be melted. any suggestiong so that i can prevent this from happening again would be greatly appreciated.

possibly the wrong specs on the cylinder sleeve. could have oil blow-by. are you sure the ring is melted??
